Are mosquitoes a problem in Egypt in the evenings?

Hotel grounds are treated with mosquito repellent spray, but it doesn't fully eliminate them. Sitting on a balcony for an hour in the evening can result in quite a few bites.

Mosquito bites often go unnoticed at the time — the itching only starts later back in the room. Children seem to get bitten more frequently than adults.
