Are hotel pools and water parks heated in Egypt in winter?

According to a review posted in October 2026, a couple stayed at one hotel in late January – early February 2025 and swam in the lagoon pools every day. There were children at the hotel too, and they did not freeze; it was less windy by the beach bar, and in the evenings they wore warm sweaters and jeans.

According to guests who stayed from October 25, only one adult pool located between the buildings had warm water; the water in all other pools was cold.

The hotel description lists the outdoor Relax Pool as heated and notes a designated children’s section. For an early-November stay, confirm this directly with the hotel.

When heating is switched on depends on the hotel and the weather. In September 2026, asked about early November, a participant replied that it depends mostly on the weather, but in their impression heating is usually turned on only from mid-November.

Even heated water can feel cool. In September 2026 a traveler passed on a video review in which the author said the heated pool was only 23–24°C, and the unheated one about 18°C.

According to a review of a stay from November 18 to 28, posted in September 2026, the family swam in the adult water park, and in the children's areas only where the water was heated; they swam in the sea every day. The same author said that after trying many hotels, their children aged 17, 10 and 5 still chose Aqua Blu.

A regular Aqua Blu guest who has stayed there in different seasons wrote in August 2026 that the most comfortable time for her is the first half of November. About the cold slides, she said the adrenaline is such that nobody notices the cold water, and she found no alternative to Aqua Blu in Sharm for children's and teens' entertainment.

In the view of a participant in August 2026, all decent hotels heat their pools and water parks in winter, except perhaps the very cheapest, and the real task is to find a bay sheltered from the wind — though nobody can guarantee no wind at all. They advised asking guests of the specific hotel how warm the pools and water park are.
