Which Egypt resort and hotel type should you choose by season if you want easy swimming from the beach?

A traveler reported staying at Arabesque resort over New Year 2025: sea was comfortably warm (~24°C/75°F), air around 25°C, not cold. There was wind, but beach windbreak partitions helped, and the pool area had sheltered/enclosed loungers — overall rated as a great holiday. Warm clothing was needed in the evenings.

March, October and December are described as very comfortable months both for the beach (not too hot) and for excursions; the sea in March is warm but slightly cooler than in August. August is also tolerable. On pricing, travelers suggest keeping flexible dates since early booking doesn't always mean the best price — good deals can appear later (there were very low prices for June, for example).

When choosing an Egypt hotel, start with the travel month: some properties work better in summer, others in winter. If swimming directly from the shore matters, check that first along with your budget, travel party, and whether you need a water park.

Quiet, more remote beach sections are usually fine for sunbathing and relaxing, but they can feel isolated and may be far from the pier. Travelers described this as a good option for peace and quiet, at least in February.

For August, travelers usually recommend beach time and boat trips rather than long land excursions. In peak heat, Hurghada is often preferred, and if you choose Sharm El Sheikh, it is better to pick a hotel without an extra-long pier so you can reach the water quickly.

If your trip is at the start of January, booking ahead is recommended. After the holiday period, last-minute deals can appear, but resorts in the Reef Oasis category are said to go on sale less often.

June was described as a comfortable month for a sea holiday: evenings are not overly hot, there is usually a breeze, and the sea is still not too warm. Travelers considered it comfortable enough for repeat trips.

In summer, a wind-protected bay in Sharm may no longer be a priority, and some travelers stop specifically looking for one after trying other options. In January, however, sheltered locations are still considered a better choice.
