Can you use an all-inclusive hotel in Egypt before official check-in if you arrive early?

Based on 1 discussion with 3 participants · Last activity: 9 days ago

TL;DR

At many Egypt resorts, early arrivals are often given wristbands, towel cards, and access to breakfast and the beach before the room is ready, with actual check-in usually around 13:00–14:00. If the hotel is full, early room access is unlikely; late checkout may be available for about $20.

In a recent case, guests arriving around 9:00 were immediately given wristbands and towel cards, allowed to have breakfast, and use the beach and hotel grounds. Their room was only assigned at 13:30, even though official check-in was 14:00.

If you arrive early, some hotels will put wristbands on you right away and send you to breakfast, but if occupancy is high, they may not give you a room before 13:00. For late flights, room extension until 18:00 can cost about $20; after 12:00, wristbands may be cut off, and some hotels reportedly ask $10 per person to keep them.

Older feedback describes a similar pattern: guests arriving around 7:00 were sent straight to breakfast, given wristbands and access cards, and could change and head to the beach before getting their room. So hotel facilities are often available well before the room is officially ready.
