How to find out in advance if a hotel in Egypt is under renovation/construction before booking?

TL;DR

Before booking, check recent reviews or ask the hotel directly whether renovation is ongoing — many Egyptian resorts are currently renovating buildings and reception areas, causing noise, dust and workers moving through occupied floors, including family blocks.

When booking, ask about renovation status directly — at some hotels the reception area renovation in the back courtyard is still far from finished and may drag on for a while.

Reception renovation — ongoing long-term

Even without loud noise, construction can mean constant dust in rooms and hallways, with workers moving through all floors, including family-block upper levels.

Renovation can affect an entire building at once — drilling, noise and workers on every floor — while the building remains fully occupied by guests.
