TL;DR
For a medical emergency, contact your insurer using the phone number or WhatsApp listed in your policy; they may arrange transport and cashless treatment. Private clinics are reported to provide faster diagnostics, while public hospitals can be much less comfortable.
In one case involving a standard travel insurance policy after 11 pm, the insurer arranged a car in about an hour. The vehicle took the patient to the clinic, waited for roughly three hours, and brought them back, with no out-of-pocket payment.
Use the WhatsApp contact shown on your insurance policy to arrange assistance and ask about returning if symptoms recur. A separate case was also handled through another insurance policy.
When using insurance, ask which facility you are being sent to: one experience at a regular public hospital was far less comfortable, so it is worth requesting an alternative clinic from the assistance service if possible.
At a private hospital, tests and an X-ray were reportedly handled quickly: lab results were ready in about an hour, and the patient received the X-ray image to take away.
