Is it noisy to stay at or next to a Rixos resort in Egypt, and can you sleep well at night?

For a quieter stay, request a room away from the central part of the grounds, toward the water park: music from the central bars can still be loud late in the evening.

Garden- or pool-view rooms may be noisy: besides loud music, children may play outside the windows late in the evening, including football close to midnight.

Another sleep issue: poor window soundproofing in the rooms, and on some nights an open-air disco (not run by the hotel) takes place right in front of it until 3am, keeping many guests awake.

A recent traveler said sleep was fine when the neighboring rooms were quiet. The main issue was loud slamming doors in the building, but they noted there were only about 5 rooms on the first floor and 5 on the second, so it was manageable with calm guests.

Some guests complain that at the Rixos you need to get up very early to secure a sunbed, otherwise the better pool or beach spots are taken quickly. That can be a downside if you're expecting a quiet, sleep-in style holiday.

According to reviews on TopHotels, a common complaint is heavy noise from the Rixos side: parties and music may be loud enough to disturb sleep even with the doors closed. This is especially worth considering if your room faces the entertainment or evening stage area.
