Is it safe to swim along the beach and use a neighboring hotel pier in Sharm El Sheikh?

In October another traveler said that when she came to the sea late in the evening, it was so dark she was afraid even to dip a finger in.

Sea access and footwear: in October 2026 a guest called the beach the hotel's only downside — better not to come without special water shoes. She said there are no colorful fish near the shore; snorkelers go closer to the rocks and the net, where there are slabs you can stand on. In September another guest wrote that there are low tides in the morning and sudden drop-offs in places, so with children she would choose a different hotel.

An important clarification from August 2026: this stretch is already outside the hotel grounds and there are no lifeguards — it is essentially a wild beach.

Belongings: in August 2026 a guest wrote that there is no theft on the beaches — her valuables left on the beach never went missing; the hotel has a safe.

In July 2026 a guest suggested: one hotel over, if you walk right along the beach, there is a stretch by an abandoned hotel. There is no sea life there and the bottom is sandy — it is a place to simply swim and relax.

A safety warning: the same guest who recommended the stretch by the abandoned hotel wrote that women should not go there without a man. In August 2026 another participant added that outside the hotel there are streets of shops, but she would not risk walking there in the evening without a man, especially with a child.
