Is SUNRISE Azalea Resort in Hurghada worth booking for families: service, beach and swimming conditions?

The resort is convenient for families thanks to its water park, pools, gently shelving shallow entry, and staff assistance with sunbeds and towels. For deeper swimming, guests can use the pier.

Food, drinks and daytime entertainment received positive feedback: there are evening beach discos, drinking water is supplied daily, and room-cleaning issues were reportedly handled quickly.

The hotel was considered capable of outperforming some budget five-star properties overall. It was priced the same as SUNRISE Serano in one comparison, while Serano guests were often seen using Azalea’s pool and grounds.

The transfer from Hurghada Airport to SUNRISE Azalea reportedly takes about 20–30 minutes. According to a guest report, wristbands remain active on departure day, allowing use of the pool, beach and meals until leaving, with a room available for showering.

The sea is not SUNRISE Azalea’s main strength: the shore is shallow and there is little underwater life. Swimming from the pier is more comfortable, and water shoes are useful where there are coral fragments or small stones.
