Is the Pyramisa hotel in Egypt still under renovation, and does construction disrupt guests' stay?

A guest who stayed 10 days in August 2026 said she didn't notice any construction at all — no noise, dust, or dirt.

Another guest reports dust building up an inch thick on the balcony daily, and says the renovation is taking a long time. The back area with the future entrance and amphitheater is still in early construction stages.

She also noted the kids' club was dirty — some children take off shoes, some don't, and her grandchild's feet were black after visiting.

She speculates that once renovation is complete, the hotel will rebrand (drop the Pyramisa name) and prices will increase.

Another traveler notes that according to the tour operator's website (Biblio-Globus), renovation should run until roughly autumn, but in practice it doesn't interfere with the stay: some noise from the beach area during the day, but no dust or dirt in rooms since the renovated corridor is separated by an elevator hall.

The same traveler confirms the pool and restaurant are operating at 100% capacity despite construction.
