TL;DR
Menaville has a shallow, easy sea entry that can suit less confident swimmers, but reef shoes are essential. There are plenty of fish near shore, occasional moray eels, and shore fishing is possible by the surf station.
Even non-swimmers can see plenty of fish close to the Menaville shore, making the shallow area suitable for casual marine-life viewing.
The shallows can have more than small reef fish: a large moray eel was spotted there. Wear reef shoes and avoid walking barefoot on the seabed.
Guests have fished directly from shore beside the Menaville surf station. Bring your own rod; bread has been used as a simple bait.
The sea entry is described as a shallow paddling area with a gentle approach, comfortable for bathing. Reef shoes are strongly recommended for this section.
