What kind of bed do you get as a solo traveler in Egyptian hotels (single vs double room)?

TL;DR
Most Egyptian hotels don't have dedicated 'single' rooms — solo guests are simply placed in a room of their booked category (e.g. Standard or Superior), usually with one large double bed. If staff show you a twin room, just ask for one big bed instead — there shouldn't be extra charge within the same room category.

In a Superior category room (building 9), a solo guest was given one double bed, not two separate beds.

There's no separate 'single room' category at the hotel — solo guests are just placed alone in whatever category they booked. In a Standard room, there was one large comfortable bed.
