What to do on checkout day at an Egypt resort hotel when your flight is late?

The standard rule across Egyptian all-inclusive hotels is checkout at 12:00 and check-in at 14:00. Early check-in or free late checkout is a favour, not a given.

If your flight is late at night, the most convenient option is to pre-book an extra night online (booking for one person is cheaper even if there are four of you). Your wristbands won't be cut, so you keep full access to meals and facilities all day — though you may need to switch rooms.

Extending your room until 18:00 at the front desk costs around $35 and includes lunch, but not dinner. Without an extension, wristbands are removed at 12:00 and meal access stops.

If you don't extend, wristbands are cut at 12:00 and you lose meal access. You can leave luggage in the hotel storage room and spend time on the property, but without restaurant access.
