When does the pier reopen for swimming and snorkeling in Egypt after a red flag?

During a 10-day stay, the pier was usually under a red flag in the morning and reopened in the afternoon. On one day it was open from morning, while on another it remained fully closed.

The red flag at the pier is often changed to yellow around 2–4 pm, allowing access to the reef. Use the flag posted at the pier itself rather than relying only on the general beach flag.

Even after a strong morning storm, the flag may change from red to yellow after 3 pm. If the pier is closed in the morning, check conditions again later in the afternoon.
