Where can I buy groceries, fruit, and Egyptian sweets outside the hotel in Hurghada?

Some travelers buy basics in the small shops by the hotel’s main building, but for a wider selection they cross the road toward Sigala, where the Metro and Aten supermarkets are located. Another option is to walk inland from the seafront into the neighborhood, where there are small local grocery shops.

For shopping, travelers recommend walking right from the hotel along the main street, where you’ll find Mix Market and TK Market; TK Market is said to be cheaper than the shops inside hotel compounds. Deeper inside the neighborhood, local stores sell halva, Turkish delight, other sweets, and mangoes from fruit stalls.

If you head to the Metro store across the road, there is a small fruit shop just to the right of its entrance. It’s a useful landmark if you specifically want fresh fruit rather than standard supermarket groceries.
