TL;DR
Palm trees can be found on the beach opposite building 2 and near the central pier. Along Naama Bay, the beaches are roughly ordered as Swiss Inn, Gafy, Promenade/Mountain, Novotel Beach/Palm, the large Ghazala Beach, then Jaz Fayrouz and Maritim Jolie Ville; on the main beach, sunbeds are often taken by 6–7 am.
According to the latest beach layout shared for Naama Bay, Swiss Inn is at the very bottom end of the bay, with Gafy just above it. This is a useful reference point if you want the southern side of the bay.
Further along the bay, the beaches continue with Promenade Beach and Mountain, then Novotel Beach and Novotel Palm. After that comes the very large Ghazala Beach section, followed by Jaz Fayrouz and Maritim Jolie Ville.
If you specifically want a beach area with palm trees and shade, look for the section opposite building 2. There is also another palm-lined area near the central pier.
In July, the main beach can have a real sunbed shortage: people start reserving loungers as early as 6–7 am. If you want a spot near the water, it is best to arrive early.
