Which hotel building/block should I pick in Egypt resorts with a 'Preferred Area' (renovated vs old rooms)?

TL;DR
In Egypt resorts with a 'Preferred Area', renovated rooms are usually in the buildings to the right of reception, closer to the pool and restaurant, while older unrenovated blocks are on the left, farther from the main facilities.
The building facing the relax pool (often labeled Block A) has been renovated; a neighboring block (B) may also be updated by now — mattresses were replaced there last year. Rooms on the 2nd-3rd floor have the best views.
All buildings in the Preferred Area to the right of reception have renovated deluxe rooms, closer to the pool and restaurant. Buildings to the left of reception are older, unrenovated, and farther from the main facilities — few of these rooms remain.
