TL;DR
Be cautious with hotels in El Ahyaa, where low tides, shallow water and stones can make swimming from shore difficult. Sindbad Club is a more practical option with a good beach, though it is on the second line and its rooms may feel dated.
Sunrise Juman is on the edge of Sahl Hasheesh near the Kora area. It is a large resort but isolated from Hurghada: a taxi to central Hurghada takes about 30 minutes, while the Sahl Hasheesh promenade is around 10–15 minutes away. Apart from Senzo Mall, there is little nearby, so it suits guests planning to stay mostly at the resort.
Sunrise Solara, Sunrise Serano and Sunrise Azalea are in El Ahyaa, a suburb of Hurghada. Check recent beach reports before booking: the area can have strong low tides, stones and shallow water, sometimes requiring a walk of roughly 300 m to reach depth. Confirm whether there is a usable pier.
From El Ahyaa resorts, a taxi ride to central Hurghada around Sheraton Road takes about 20 minutes. There is a highway behind the hotels, with tourist shops nearby; local neighborhoods may have fruit stalls and pharmacies, although they are not always easy to locate.
Sindbad Club is worth considering for older guests. It is on the second line, but the beach is reached simply by crossing a pedestrian street. The beach and food are regarded as good, although the rooms may be noticeably dated.
