Tip: watch for hotels dropping prices during low occupancy periods, and note that many hotels above Rehana's tier can sometimes be found at a similar price.

Some travelers say Hurghada can now be much cheaper if you book flights and the hotel separately instead of buying a package. However, they also note that package insurance can be very useful and may justify paying more.

Value depends heavily on booking dates: one family found Magawish for about 330000 ₽ for 11 days, while Pickalbatros White Beach with similar conditions was about 590000 ₽. With that kind of gap, travelers felt the pricier option was not worth it, and even Rixos looked more reasonable by comparison.

Travelers report that Steigenberger, Rixos, and Magawish in Hurghada often cost about 20–30% more than mid-range resorts, but many don’t see enough extra value to justify that surcharge. Better-value options mentioned were Pyramisa, Aladdin, and Ali Baba, while Radamis was noted as an interesting off-season option: in February, 9 nights for a family of 2 adults + 2 children over 10 years old was about 270000 ₽, only around 10000–20000 ₽ more than some alternatives.
