What to pack from home vs buy locally in Hurghada (snorkel masks, clothes, t-shirts)?

Suitcases may be cheaper in Hurghada, but it is not a destination for international clothing chains: Mango and Terranova have been absent for several years, while Zara and H&M have not operated there. Cairo is recommended for this type of shopping.

Local shops will sell you as much as you want and pack it in bags, but once you're in Egypt it's on you to handle transport/customs — better to transfer purchases into a backpack or bag instead of carrying loose shopping bags.
