Where to buy fresh mango in Hurghada and how much does it cost?

There is a Spinneys in the Dahar area, where, according to one participant, there is usually plenty of mango. They also mentioned the old market: officially closed, but a few rows of fruit stalls remain.

In late August 2026 travelers bought mango for 80 Egyptian pounds in the Hainur area, about a 30-minute walk from their hotel; in their words, the same place also has good dates and olive oil.

A traveler recommended in August 2026 the tiny packaged mangoes sold in the supermarket closest to her hotel, kept in the fridge with other fruit. They do not look like much but are very tasty, easy to transport and keep well.

Mango season, according to a participant in August 2026, runs from July to December, and mango is sold at any market or stall. Decide in advance whether you will eat it right away or take it home. For travel, the advice is to buy on departure day or the evening before and to choose firmer fruit so it ripens gradually at home.
