Where to buy fruit, snacks, souvenirs and medicine near hotels in Hurghada?

For one hotel, a participant described the route in October 2026: the Metro supermarket is opposite the hotel, with fruit stalls on the street next to it, and if you walk right on the hotel's side to the roundabout and turn right again, you reach the Gomla market. Everything is close by, they said.

In late September 2026 a traveler said they simply walked around the shops near their hotel in the evening. She mentioned the 'Karkusha' shop near the Sheraton: it used to have decent things, but now, in her view, that is doubtful. She considers a guided shopping excursion a waste of time and money.

There is a large promenade in front of the hotel. For fruit and sweet shops, go left through the fountain square; the scenic waterfront is further along.

In August 2026 a participant warned that fruit sold at the hotel would be expensive and advised going into town to buy it at fruit and vegetable stalls.

A large mall is about a 7–10 minute walk to the right from the hotel. It has a DeFacto store and a supermarket selling fruit, including mangoes, as well as shampoos and personal-care products. Prices are in Egyptian pounds, with ATMs and exchange offices nearby.

For those who like walking outside the hotel, a good stretch of the Mamsha promenade in both directions was recommended in July 2026. According to the participant, the Kausar district is a short walk away for fruit, sweets and pharmacies, without the tourist crowds.
