Where to find a good pharmacy in Hurghada — in a shopping mall or near your hotel?

A pharmacy across from Mango Market, a little farther along a quieter street, reportedly uses mostly fixed prices. The pharmacist gives detailed advice; two large packs of children’s vitamins cost $12.

The Russian Pharmacy is recommended for its broad selection and reasonable prices; staff speak some Russian and understand customers’ needs. Hair serums and oils were praised, and black cumin oil and other oils were said to be much cheaper than in tourist-oriented shops.

A good pharmacy is located opposite the exit of the hotel's new reception: prices are printed right on the packaging, and there's a Russian-speaking pharmacist. One traveler noted cosmetics and creams there were even cheaper than in the 'Russian' pharmacy.

For cosmetics, it's worth checking the MAKE UP shop on Sheri street — prices there are cheaper than anywhere else.

Check the price printed on the package in pharmacies: if they charge more, go elsewhere. One report said the first pharmacy when walking from the hotel overcharged by about three times, while the second had fair prices; the third pushed unnecessary supplements and medicines.

One traveler admitted she forgot about the pharmacy near her hotel and fixated on a delivery pharmacy instead, since walking anywhere in the heat wasn't appealing. She ended up going to Mango Market twice in the evening, though she'd have preferred the El Ezaby chain.

Another traveler was unimpressed with Senzo Mall — aside from the pharmacy, he found nothing interesting or cheap there and didn't get why it's so hyped. He planned to check out Anton Mall for comparison, since it's right next to his hotel.

In July 2026 travelers who visited Senzo Mall did not find a grocery store there and saw souvenirs in only one shop, where haggling was expected. However, they really liked the mall's pharmacy: in their view it had a wider selection and was cleaner and brighter than the Russian Pharmacy that is often recommended in the discussions.

In early October 2026 Senzo Mall was again described as only so-so, a place to walk around. The pharmacy there was called decent, and a hypermarket in the same mall was mentioned for small purchases — so, according to the October observation, grocery shopping there is possible after all.

Opinions on hotel pharmacies differ. In August 2026 participants recommended buying at the Russian Pharmacy and El Ezaby chains. In September a traveler warned that pharmacies where tourists are taken charge more, and the pharmacy at a hotel even more, and suggested checking prices on the Russian Pharmacy website. Other travelers, by contrast, praised a specific pharmacy near their hotel for its printed package prices.
