How do I get to SOHO Square and the Old Market (Old Town) in Sharm El Sheikh?

A cheaper alternative to a taxi for the Old Town is the local minibus. In September 2026 a participant explained that there is essentially one road in that part of the resort and minibuses on it run through Naama Bay and the Old Town, so you flag one down at the roadside. For their hotel, they advised keeping left after the gate (away from SOHO), walking to the end of the palm alley and crossing to the other side of the road.

In late July 2026 a traveler staying near Naama Bay wrote that Naama Bay square was a 15–20 minute walk along the sea, while both the Old Town and SOHO Square were about 10 minutes away by taxi. Your own travel time depends on where your hotel is.

A trip to SOHO Square is easy to combine with Tal Avenue: in July 2026 a participant said it is practically on the square, about a three-minute walk away. They suggested saving on a taxi by taking the hotel bus, spending some time at Tal Avenue, walking to SOHO and catching the same bus back at the end of the programme.

Sharm El Sheikh is compact: in early July 2026 a participant wrote that driving from one end of the resort to the other takes about 20–25 minutes and the roads are mostly empty. So getting to SOHO or the Old Town is not a long trip from anywhere in town.
