Mango season runs roughly from September to October. For clearer, fixed prices, a fixed-price shop in Naama Bay was recommended; one traveler also reported carrying 14 kg of mangoes for two people in hand luggage without being stopped.

One report found two mango varieties priced at $1 and $2 per fruit. The buyer described them as sweet, nearly fiber-free, and with small pits.

Another recent price reference: large mangoes were $2 per kg, while small, very sweet ones were $5 per kg. Bargaining on the smaller mangoes produced only a $1 discount, so negotiations may not always lower the price much.

A traveler reported buying everything she needed at Mango Market, including strawberries. However, the actual price was higher than expected: strawberries were around $5 per kg instead of the $2.5 per kg she had heard about.

Another traveler said that in peak season fruit could be very cheap, mentioning strawberries at about $1 per kg.

Based on market shopping experience in Sharm El Sheikh, bargaining is often expected. One traveler recommended negotiating hard, especially for mangoes and souvenirs, and if the final price already feels fair, asking for a small free extra item; for example, a family received a child’s baseball cap with a hat purchase.
