Travelers who stayed in Chakvi (near Batumi) note the sea there is very warm but quite murky/dirty, and due to high humidity you can get sunburned even in cloudy weather.

In Tsikhisdziri the sea is praised as excellent — you can jump off the rocks, and the beach is more comfortable to walk on barefoot compared to Batumi's rocky beaches.
