How to deposit cash to a TBC Bank card in Batumi, Georgia?

If you open a TBC card specifically for a trip, factor in the maintenance fee. In September 2026 cardholders wrote about being charged 10 lari a month; at a TBC branch one of them was told the bank has no fee-free cards and the minimum charge is 10 lari a month, even if the card is not used.

According to a traveler in June 2026, a TBC card was topped up with cash at a TBC payment terminal, and the card itself is not needed for this. The steps: tap Login in the top left, choose the first option, Cash to own, then passport authorization, and enter your passport number — type the Latin letter N instead of the № sign, followed by the digits. An SMS code arrives; after entering it, choose the currency and feed the banknotes into the slot one at a time. The money was credited within a minute.

The same traveler first tried to deposit cash with the card at an ATM, then at a terminal, and neither worked. At a TBC branch he was told that cash is accepted onto the card only by TBC payment terminals. So it is better not to count on ATMs or terminals of other banks (such as Bank of Georgia) for topping up a TBC card: participants did not confirm that they work, and the conditions are best checked with the bank itself.

Another participant wrote in June 2026 that a TBC card can also be topped up without a fee at a TBC ATM with a cash-in (cash deposit) function. But, in their words, not all of these ATMs work, and not always. In August 2026 another traveler complained that the street ATMs he came across only dispensed cash — so it is more reliable to look for a TBC payment terminal straight away.
