How to get to Okatse Canyon and Prometheus Cave from Batumi?

Warning about touts at the Martvili Canyon parking lot: they promise a full package (river boat ride, jeep to all viewpoints) but in reality only drive you to the waterfall and hydro station for 150 GEL, and if water level is high you have to walk the rest on foot. They also falsely claim the cable car costs 100 GEL (actual price is around 3 GEL) to discourage visiting independently.

When heading to Prometheus Cave, consider stopping in Kutaisi to see the fountain, then after the cave visit Martvili Canyon (boat ride on the mountain river, pay at the entrance, plus a walk near the boxwood forest). All these spots are close together along the same route. The road from Batumi is good; for a group a minivan is recommended.
