TL;DR
Price is the same, but minibuses usually guarantee a seat while buses often mean standing. At the Sarpi border everyone gets off with their luggage, walks through passport control, and re-boards on the other side.
If taking the bus back from Turkey, catch it at its very first stop — it usually leaves full from there, giving you a better chance of getting a seat.
At the Sarpi crossing, passengers get off with their belongings, walk through passport control on foot, then re-board the bus or minibus on the other side of the border — essentially just a transfer.
A minibus (marshrutka) is preferable to a bus: same price, but on the bus you often have to stand the whole ride, while the minibus guarantees a seat.
