TL;DR
From August to October 2026, participants called a Multitransfer transfer with cash pickup at Rico the best-value way to get cash in Batumi: in their experience it works without problems and arrives within a few hours. The fee depends on the sending bank — 1.5% on top from WB Bank, 0% from Raiffeisenbank. Sending straight to a card or bank account, they say, gives a noticeably worse exchange rate.
In early October 2026 a participant listed the banks that can send transfers to Rico Express: Banca Intesa, Credit Europe Bank, OTP Bank, Raiffeisenbank, UniCredit Bank and Asian-Pacific Bank (all in Russia). The list may change, so check it in the service's app before sending.
If a transfer does not suit you, in late August 2026 participants suggested checking options on the Rico website or at banks, and for currency exchange — the exchange offices on Chavchavadze Street in Batumi.
Multitransfer with cash pickup at Rico was called the best-value option in both late August and late September 2026: participants say it gives the best exchange rate. In mid-September someone added that it works without problems and the transfer takes a few hours. The choice of sending banks is limited, though.
The fee depends on the sending bank. According to messages from August–September 2026, WB Bank charges 1.5% on top but makes it easy to get a virtual card. Raiffeisenbank charges no fee, but, as a participant noted in late September, you need to get a physical plastic card for that.
Participants consider sending money through Multitransfer or other services straight to a card or bank account less favourable: in September 2026 they wrote that the rate for crediting an account is much worse than for cash pickup at Rico.
