What to wear on a mountain excursion from Batumi — do I need a jacket?

The Adjara mountains are relatively low, so the temperature difference from the coast is only about 5–6°C. Casual sportswear works fine: joggers, sneakers, a cap. A windbreaker is essential; pack a light sweater as backup. For hiking, wear sturdy shoes or boots and consider renting or buying trekking poles. Most importantly, avoid going in rainy weather.
