Where can you buy a transport card for Batumi buses?

On 21 August 2026 a participant posted, for everyone who had been asking where to buy a transport card, that cards were available at the Willmart store at 14 Inasaridze Street for 2 GEL. This applies to that particular store, not to the whole chain: other Willmart branches did not always have cards in the same weeks.

Another address that came up is 55 Gorgasali Street. In August 2026 a traveler who could not find a card in shops mentioned this location as the place to go for one, although she could not get there that day. If there are no cards near you, it is a possible fallback, but check availability on site.

Availability in shops varied noticeably. On 11 August 2026 one traveler checked three Willmart stores and found no cards in any of them, and another participant said there were none at the office he went to, nor at the Willmart he had visited the day before. These were individual shops, so this does not mean cards are unavailable citywide, but it is wise to have a backup option.

A traveler who lost her wallet in July 2026 said she had been paying on Batumi public transport with her metro transport card, meaning that card also worked on Batumi buses. When she went to replace it, she first tried a bank, but was sent to another address, so a bank branch is not the most reliable place to buy one.
