Where to find quiet, less crowded nature spots near Batumi, Georgia?

Based on 1 discussion with 3 participants · Last activity: 5 days ago

TL;DR

For quiet nature, head outside the city: Mtirala National Park, the waterfall near Mirveti village, Sameba (Holy Trinity) church, or any 'bird watching' spot on the map — all peaceful but require a car or taxi to reach.

What the community said

To walk downhill through Batumi Botanical Garden, take a taxi to the northern entrance on the Chakvi side, which may be marked as “ticket office 3” on maps. Walk from there toward the southern main entrance; getting a taxi at the northern exit can take a long time, as drivers are reluctant to go there.

Mtirala National Park has untouched nature, but it's hard to reach without a car — best to go by taxi or rental.

Waterfall near Mirveti village: drive to the bridge or to Adjaristsqali village, then it's a short walk.

Sameba (Holy Trinity) church — take a taxi up and walk down to enjoy quiet views along the way.

Look for spots labeled 'bird watching area' on maps — these are usually quiet natural spots with few crowds.

Batumi Botanical Garden: both the south and north entrances are at the bottom near the sea, while the highest point is in the middle, so you'll have to walk uphill regardless of entrance. The garden has multiple paths — walking round trip lets you see the most.
