Where to stay in Batumi for a better beach, quieter area, or a family trip with a child?

Families with a child often choose the New Boulevard area in Batumi because it is easier for walks and has a good park. The trade-off is that the beach there is usually considered worse than near the old center.

If your priority is beach quality and having plenty of cafes nearby, travelers recommend staying in Batumi Old Town. The downside is the cobblestone streets, which can be inconvenient with a stroller.

Standard Orbi apartment towers are not usually recommended for this kind of stay if you want a better mix of beach access, comfort, and a family-friendly setting. Travelers suggest regular rentals in Old Town or near New Boulevard instead, depending on your priorities.

If your main goal is a quieter beach, travelers suggest looking beyond Batumi to Shekvetili-Kaprovani, especially in August. This stretch is chosen for a calmer atmosphere, although it still won’t feel completely empty in peak season.

For a genuinely better beach, travelers more often recommend Kvariati or Sarpi. These seaside villages south of Batumi offer a stronger beach experience, but staying there is less exciting because there is much less city infrastructure and entertainment.
