How far in advance can you buy train tickets in Tbilisi?

To track when tickets open for specific dates, monitor the official sites tkt.ge and biletebi.ge — that's where tickets appear as they're released.

For the high-speed train (similar to a 'Lastochka'), which runs several times a day, tickets are released one day at a time: for example, on July 8 tickets were on sale for July 27, with July 28 tickets expected the next day. If you pick a later date, those trains simply won't show until sales open.

Tickets for August trains can be bought at Tbilisi railway station ticket counters, but only if you plan ahead — August is peak season and seats sell out quickly.

As of late June, the furthest available date to book train tickets is July 14th across all booking platforms. A clock icon in the interface does not mean sold out — it means tickets for that date haven't been released yet.

Train tickets are released for sale gradually, not all at once. In late June, tickets were available up to around July 15th. Delays in releasing future dates are normal and expected.
