TL;DR
T-Bank travel insurance was reported to arrange wound treatment and follow-up care across Java, Bali and Nusa Penida. Opening a case may take around 90 minutes, and communication with the local assistance team is generally in English.
T-Bank insurance was reported to cover sutures for a complicated wound, follow-up checks every 2–3 days, and stitch removal. Care was coordinated while travelling between Java, Bali and Nusa Penida.
For each stage of treatment, the insurer confirmed the town and medical facility in advance. On Nusa Penida, follow-up care was arranged at a doctor’s clinic rather than a large hospital.
Opening the insurance case took about 1.5 hours. For an emergency, you may be able to go through emergency services immediately; for non-urgent care, wait for the assistance provider’s authorization.
T-Bank app support may require a Russian VPN, while the local assistance team communicates through WhatsApp. WhatsApp messages may not arrive with a Russian VPN enabled, so switching connections can be necessary.
English is useful in hospitals in Bali and elsewhere in Indonesia, although doctors may prefer Indonesian. Install a voice translation app before the trip to handle medical terminology.
