One report attributed the acceptance of Russian driving licences in Seychelles to the country's participation in the Vienna Convention.

A September 2026 report said that booking a rental car through an aggregator usually required sending scans of both sides of the driving licence in advance.

If one rental company refuses a Russian driving licence, the discussion recommended trying another company; acceptance by every company was not guaranteed.
