Sri Lanka visa extension: how long does the payment link take, and when should I contact Colombo Immigration?

Do not rush to Immigration immediately: after submitting an online extension application, allow 5–7 business days for the payment link to arrive.

If nothing has arrived four days after applying, it is still within the suggested waiting period; consider a trip to Colombo only after 5–7 business days without an update.

Email messages may go unanswered even after roughly a week. Calling is a more practical way to check the status; provide the OXB application number.
