Is it worth paying extra for a sea-view room in a beachfront hotel in Alanya, or is a standard budget room good enough?

A standard room in Bungalow 3 was adequate for sleeping, with good AC and Wi‑Fi, but had dated furniture and worn carpeting. A sea-view suite in the main building was offered for an extra €35 per day; for guests who spend little time in the room, that upgrade may not be worthwhile.

A second-floor room in the Annex faced the hotel grounds, and the building’s location was convenient for nearby facilities. There was no musty smell, but the bathroom was heavily worn, with yellowed fixtures and visible mildew, so budget-room guests should inspect the bathroom before settling in.

A standard sea-view room does not guarantee a clear panorama: one report described a small room with only a partial, tree-obstructed sea view and centrally controlled AC that was switched off by morning. Housekeeping came only 1-2 times a week, towels changed on request. This shows that even a renovated pool-view room can have hidden issues unrelated to the actual view.

The newest review suggests skipping the extra fee for a view if you do not plan to spend time on the balcony. Their no-surcharge budget room faced a neighboring hotel, but the room itself felt fairly new, the AC worked well, cleaning was acceptable when requested, and the real advantages were the food, pier, pool, and easy public transport access to Alanya town.

Another traveler said their pool-view room in the Annex building did not really overlook the pool and instead faced a small shopping street behind the hotel. The upside was that it stayed quiet, so this type of room may suit travelers who care more about sleeping well than about the view.
