Is the sea water clean and are hotel beaches safe in Alanya (mud/dirty water, harassment at beach parties)?

This year at the MC Beach hotel, staff told guests they could not access the neighboring Aransia hotel grounds. Last year, however, Macberry guests were allowed onto Aransia's territory in the evenings for entertainment programs, since Macberry itself had none. Beach access policy between neighboring hotels changes from year to year.

When visiting the Aransia and neighboring Beach hotels (about 7 years ago), guests could freely move between both hotel areas without staff objections. The worst issue was that during the evening disco, staff let outside acquaintances onto the beach who aggressively harassed female guests; it took several rude confrontations, and the incidents only stopped after reporting it to hotel security.

In the first half of July 2026, muddy/dirty water in the sea was noticed only once, in the afternoon of July 2-3, and to a minor extent. By comparison, two years earlier the situation was much worse, with water pollution bad enough to discourage swimming.
