Are flight delays common at Antalya Airport and how does it affect transfers?

When Ural Airlines moves an Antalya flight by 2 hours, the change may appear in the airport’s online departure board as well; check both sources before arranging a transfer.

Do not assume check-in will be extended when a flight is delayed: in one Antalya case, a 2-hour delay was announced during check-in, but check-in still closed at its original scheduled time.

For an international departure from Antalya, allow at least 3 hours at the airport. During busy periods this is enough only if you skip shopping; plan 4–5 hours if you want time for duty-free.

One flight to Antalya was reported 7 hours late because of drone-related restrictions, and some flights were also said to have been cancelled. In such disruptions, departure timing can be unpredictable.

In another case, a delayed flight was diverted to an alternate airport; passengers received water and 600 RUB for food, waited about 4 hours, then were flown out on a replacement aircraft.

A flight from Samara to Antalya was delayed by 3.5 hours: departure shifted from 17:30 to 21:00, with check-in rescheduled accordingly.

An evening transfer from Antalya Airport to hotels near Kemer took about an hour due to city traffic. The same route at night took only 30 minutes with no congestion.

A flight from Antalya scheduled for 08:50 eventually departed at 13:45 — a delay of nearly 5 hours. Delays were announced incrementally, and check-in continued until around noon.

During an 8-hour flight delay at Antalya Airport, travelers used a private transfer that took about 1.5 hours in the evening with no traffic.

Flights to and from Antalya are regularly delayed by a few hours. To improve chances of at least one on-time leg, consider booking a daytime outbound flight and an evening return.
