The route a traveler described in August 2026: after check-in, take your purchases and paperwork to the customs officer at counter 501. The officer looks at the goods, stamps the forms and tells you where to go next; you drop your suitcase into baggage right there. Refund points are on the same floor before passport control and further on after it — one of them is by the escalator on the right, before you reach the shops (such as Waikiki). The refund was paid in cash.
