Should I bring euros or dollars to Antalya, Turkey?

If you plan to convert cash into Turkish lira, avoid doing it at the airport, where the rate is usually noticeably worse. In Antalya itself, city exchange offices tend to offer a more reasonable rate, so it is more practical to bring euros and exchange part of the amount locally into lira.

If bringing euros, avoid €500 banknotes: very large denominations can be inconvenient for payments or exchange, so smaller notes are a better choice.
