Where is the sea cleaner around Antalya: Kemer, Konyaaltı, or Belek/Kadriye, and what time of day is best for swimming?

In Konyaaltı, morning is the best time to swim: the sea is usually calm and can be fairly clean then. By midday and evening, conditions often worsen, with surface film and more floating litter.

Going farther from shore near Antalya does not always solve the problem: travelers reported that pollution can still be present offshore, and even on the boat route from Kemer to Suluada the water was not consistently clean. The cleanest water was noted near Suluada itself.

Some travelers link worse afternoon water quality to heavier beach traffic: the sea is often glassy and wave-free in the morning, but later in the day an oily-looking surface film becomes more noticeable. If clear water matters, go early in the morning.

Around Belek and Kadriye, the sea is considered less clean than in Kemer. Small afternoon waves are also common there, and water clarity can vary a lot from one day to the next.

If you are choosing mainly for cleaner seawater, travelers more often recommend Kemer. Compared with Belek and Konyaaltı, it is generally perceived as having better water quality.
