TL;DR
For a beach trip from Antalya, visit Kaputaş early in the morning, sandy Patara, and the coves around Adrasan and Suluada. At the Ramada area in Antalya, access is via a terrace and stairs into deep water, so it is best for confident swimmers.
Kaputaş Beach is best from its roughly 7:00 AM opening: it is quieter and cooler in the morning. By noon it becomes crowded and the surrounding cliffs intensify the heat, so plan to leave before 12 PM.
For a long sandy beach, head to Patara: it has around 6 km of sand and dunes that are especially good at sunset. It is a strong alternative to the pebble beaches in nearby towns.
Suluada is easiest to visit by boat from Adrasan or nearby villages. It is best suited to a boat day and swimming in coves rather than a self-access city beach.
Kalkan’s town beach has very clear water, but the entry is covered in large white pebbles, so water shoes are useful. The area also has beach clubs with sandy sea entry.
For an unusual overnight stop and swim, consider Simena near Demre: there are guesthouses below the fortress, and you can swim close to the historic ruins.
For more secluded coastal stops, consider Kabak Beach in Faralya near Butterfly Valley, or the wild Cennet Koy cove, which is reached by boat.
At the Ramada area in Antalya, the beach setup is a terrace with stairs directly into the sea rather than a gentle sandy entry. It suits strong swimmers; otherwise, the pool is the more practical choice.
