Can you buy vapes or e-cigarettes in Bodrum Turkey?

If you want to treat a smoker, a participant suggested in July 2026 bringing them their favourite brand of regular cigarettes from duty-free.

Vapes, e-cigarettes and heated tobacco sticks are banned in Turkey — participants said so in reply to tourists' questions from June to October 2026. According to them, there are no legal sales anywhere in the country, Bodrum included.

The most common warning in the discussions: if someone messages you privately offering to sell vapes or sticks, or to help you find them, it is a scam. Participants say such people deliberately hunt for victims in travelers' chats, there have been many cases of fraud, and those who sent a prepayment ended up with neither money nor goods. In October 2026 a participant advised treating any private-message offer as a scam.

Participants say that because of demand such products are sometimes sold illegally under the counter, but that is trade in a banned product and not something to count on. Availability is not guaranteed either: in June 2026 a tourist wrote that she went through every tobacco shop in Bodrum and found no sticks.
