TL;DR
Summer days reach 30–35°C, but nights and early mornings drop to 10–15°C. Bring a hoodie for the balloon ride — it gets cold before takeoff.
Late June offers very comfortable weather — no oppressive heat, pleasant for both swimming and evening walks. Over four years of trips at this time, rain was encountered only twice: once for a full day and once for a couple of hours in the evening.
Compared to Turkey's coast (e.g. Side), Cappadocia in early July is similar in temperature but noticeably drier, making it feel more comfortable.
In August, daytime temperatures hit 30–35°C, but nights drop sharply to 10–15°C regardless of how hot the day was. For an early morning balloon flight, bring a warm hoodie — it's very cold before takeoff, though the burner provides warmth once you're in the basket.
