Is the sea and beach in Turkey currently clean, or is there floating trash and debris?

On July 12, after 9:00 a.m., the sea was heavily polluted again: assorted trash was floating in the water, and feces were reported near the pier, making swimming unpleasant.

As of July 9, debris washed back in during the second half of the day, so beach and water conditions may look different in the morning versus later in the day.

A hotel staff member was cleaning up trash by the shore manually, although the cleanup team appeared to be very small.

The latest report suggests this is not necessarily a constant disaster, but trash can wash in again even after the beach has already been cleaned.
