How to get to the Princes' Islands from Istanbul by ferry — prices and routes

The fare on Şehir Hatları ferries to the Princes' Islands is reported as 151 TL; other operators charge more.

According to a message from 19 August 2026, the simplest Turyol trip without a guide costs about 300 TL. Tickets are sold at a white kiosk on the Eminönü pier, to the left of the Galata Bridge.

To take a state ferry paid with İstanbulkart, late-July 2026 messages say you can first get to Kadıköy (the ferry there leaves Eminönü to the right of the Galata Bridge). Private ferries to the islands for 200 TL cash leave Eminönü to the left of the bridge.

In July 2026 travelers advised buying the return ticket in any case. You can return for 200 TL cash to Eminönü, or with İstanbulkart to Bostancı (about 137 TL) or Kabataş.

A route from Taksim described in July 2026: the F1 funicular (Taksim — Kabataş) takes 2–3 minutes and drops you right at the pier. From Kabataş pier (terminal D) the city Şehir Hatları ferry runs to the islands (Adalar); the fare is paid with İstanbulkart — about 137.48 TL. In October 2026 travelers also confirmed paying by card at Kabataş pier.

An early-July 2026 experience: the travelers went from Eminönü, paying 200 TL in cash, carrier Turyol; from Kabataş the İstanbulkart fare was 137 TL. Their island was the third stop from Istanbul; from the pier they walked to the waterpark in about 20 minutes. The traveler had heard of a water taxi there but had not used one.

From Eminönü there are no transfers: according to a July 2026 message, you buy a 200 TL cash ticket and ride — just do not miss your island. If you already have an İstanbulkart, in summer 2026 it was cheaper to go from Kabataş (137 TL by card).
