Where to shop for clothes in Istanbul — malls, designer boutiques, or flea markets?

Istanbul malls have plenty of both specialty shops and mass-market chains — H&M, Bershka show up almost everywhere.

For a more premium shopping trip, try İstinye Park mall — it has a higher-end Migros/Carrefour-style supermarket and a separate wine shop, though prices are higher.

Boyner is a Turkish multi-brand chain store, found for example in Cevahir mall — good for brands like New Balance.

Unlike Asian countries (Korea, Japan, Bali), tax-free refunds aren't automatically calculated at checkout in Turkey — ask staff directly.

For designer pieces, head to the Nişantaşı district — it has boutiques of local Turkish designers, not cheap but with genuinely unique finds.
